The 1865 Coalition is a collaboration of community organizations, residents, stakeholders, law enforcement, educational institutions, elected officials, local businesses, and churches who collectively have come together to host a two-day Juneteenth celebration in Garfield Park called the “1865 Fest.” This goal is achieved through cultural activities, art, education, sports, entertainment, community engagement, statewide partnerships and strategic planning.
