Domestic violence and gun violence prevention advocates are urging the passage of a bill that would strengthen state law to protect victims of domestic violence from guns.

The bill is named in honor of Karina Gonzalez, who was killed in July inside her Little Village home, along with her 15-year-old daughter, Daniela.
